The CT1 Cage Translator is designed to be utilized within 30 mm cage systems (see image to right) requiring translation along the optical axis of the cage. A modular design approach has been taken to allow a series of accessories to be mounted to the movable carriage of the CT1 (see below).

Precision linear ball bearings are used to ensure smooth high resolution motion. A graduated micrometer provides 1/2" (12.7 mm) of linear translation and has 10 µm (0.001") graduations. The smallest incremental movement of the carriage is approximately 1 µm. One SM1RR retaining ring is included with each unit.

The CT101 provides a means to mount SM1-threaded (1.035"-40) devices as well as Ø1" optics to the CT1 Translator. It also allows you to mount these devices onto our MS-Series translation stages using our MS103 Adapter Plate. One SM1RR retaining ring, two 4-40 cap screws, and two removable dowel pins for alignment are included with each unit.


X,Y Translating Lens Mount


The CT102 XY translator has +/-1 mm of travel and accepts any SM05 threaded component or Ø1/2" object up to 0.39" (10 mm) thick. This device is ideal for aligning an optic in the optical axis of a system. This XY translator is compatible with the MS series translation stages as well the CT1 cage translator. One SM05RR retaining ring is included with each unit.

The CT103 blank device mount has a solid surface to allow the end user to tailor the mount for custom applications. A center-drilled dimple is provided to help in aligning with the optical axis during the machining process.

The CT104 rotation mount provides 360° of continuous rotation for Ø1/2" and SM05 threaded components. The 2° graduation allows for precise positioning of components, such as linear polarizers and waveplates. A top-mounted nylon-tip setscrew is used to lock the freedom of rotation when the mount has been set in the correct orientation. The CT104 is compatible with our CT1 cage translator and MS series translation stages. One SM05RR retaining ring is included with each unit.
